Boathouse Progress

It's been awhile.  We are currently on hold waiting for the outdoor shower plumbing to be installed in the wall before we can close it all up and finalize the painting.  But, since it's been awhile, I thought I would post some progress pictures.

Check out the Antiguan Sky ceiling...

And the white exterior with metal roofing...  I just divided the ornamental grasses yesterday and planted them so they are looking a little floppy.  Hopefully the one on the left will eventually help to disguise the air unit popping through the wall.  I'm still debating between hula girl shutters or blue heron shutters.  And, as you can see, the shower (which will be to the right of the boathouse) is still not under way.

Banjo Clock Make-Over

I finally fixed the glass in our 'Willard' banjo clock that was broken more than 6 years ago.  The original glass was royal blue and gold painted glass. Since I couldn't replicate the painted effect, I went with a quadrafoil clear glass for the middle section and a vertical ribbed glass for the bottom section.  While I was at it, I put a coat of paint on to freshen it up and give it a place in our brown and white dining area.  I like the finished effect and I really hope the clock was not an original ;).
